CU Woodshop offers classes, in the DreamShop adjacent to our store, to enhance your woodworking skills. Our current class schedule is listed below, but we continue to add new offerings to our calendar. | Description | Ugh! Do you hate to finish? Are you afraid to apply a finish to the project that you just spent three weeks working on? Join us in the DreamShop for an informative demonstration on finishing techniques. Finishing does not have to be a frightening experience. Mike will discuss and demonstrate sanding and prepping techniques; staining without blotching; and foolproof finishes for your favorite woods. Participates will see how milk paint works to “Antique” a classic piece of Shaker furniture. Presented by Mike VanPelt |

Join Mike VanPelt in the DreamShop as he demonstrates many woodworking joints using common shop machinery, including the tablesaw, bandsaw, router, hollow-chisel mortiser, drill press, and biscuit joinery. This seminar will cover butt joints, tongue-and-groove, splines, biscuits, dowels, rabbets, dados, finger joints, lap joints, mortise-and-tenon, and dovetails! You will not want to miss this one! |
